Pronounce it for me
本文作者: DAVID BARTRAM AND LIAO MENG, 2

Of course, your textbook tapes can teach you how to speak with a standard accent. But out in the real world, you'll find people don't always talk that way. They speak a lot faster and don't pronounce every word accurately and they swallow vowels or syllables.

Pop music just provides plenty of native speaking examples. To cater to a wide range of young people, artists try to speak like chatting with friends and they use slang terms to do that. With the help of music videos, you get to see how they pronounce each word.
